In 2022, we made history by facilitating Nigeria’s first joint plenary session between the Delta State Youth Parliament and the Edo State Youth Parliament, hosted at the Edo State House of Assembly.
Bringing young parliamentarians from two states into one legislative space, the initiative transformed the parliamentary chamber into a classroom for leadership, collaboration, networking and civic participation.
In partnership with the Delta State Ministry of Youth Development and the Edo State Ministry of Youth Development and Humanitarian Services, we created an opportunity for young leaders to experience legislative processes firsthand, exchange ideas and build relationships beyond state boundaries.
The session was declared open by the then Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun, alongside other senior government officials and legislators.
